| The Home Assist Program is a joint Commonwealth and State HACC funded program with some funding being contributed by local government targeting safety and security issues around the home |
The program provides home assistance to:-

- frail older persons
- people with disabilities
- and their carers
|
| who are unable to maintain the health, safety and security requirements of their home. |

- Home audit

As a guide labour costs to approximately $200 will be provided with material costs being the responsibility of the applicant. However, no client will be denied a service based upon inability to contribute. |

Home & garden safety maintenance.
|
- Once off service - no regular service
- Clear blocked gutters
- Change tap washers
- Change light bulbs, fuses
- Change batteries in smoke alarms
- Keep pathways clear
- Minor repairs

| As a guide a maximum 15 hours per year will be provided with the client contributing $10 per hour. Any materials will be the client's responsibility. However, no client will be denied a service based if unable to contribute due to financial hardship. |
